Meet Maddie, a coonhound with an awesome sense of balance and seemingly endless amounts of patience!
“Traveling alongside owner and photographer Theron Humphrey, Maddie the coonhound is finding things to balance on in all 50 United States. In 2007, Humphrey got his MFA in photography. He worked in a commercial studio for a few years and then in 2011, he woke up one morning and hit the road. He decided that he wanted to tell people’s stories. So he kicked off his photo project This Wild Idea and he is traveling around the US, taking a photo of one person a day for 365 days.
During these travels, Humphrey began a side project that focuses on his trusty traveling companion, Maddie, perched atop various things in each state. And thus began the “super serious project about dogs and physics” playfully named Maddie On Things.”
